Their closeness to nature and their concern and vision for things, as much on the physical as on the spiritual plan, has given the Pekuakamiulnuatsh a natural talent for drawing and representation.  From a young age and as a general rule, the Pekuakamiulnuatsh know how to create and reproduce motifs, and characters, with uncommon dexterity.  With the arrival of missionaries, the latter have mentioned numerous times the talent that is attributed to them.
