Co-habitation in the territory

Co-habitation in the territory became more and more difficult due to exploitation of the forest.  The effects were felt immediately.  One of the most evident concerned transportation on the rivers used for spring floating of logs.  The beauty of the rivers was lost and the voyages became particularly dangerous for the Pekuakamiulnuatsh, since a lot of debris littered the banks or drifted with the current.  The fish in the river and the semi-aquatic animals modified their behaviour and reproduction, thus impoverishing the resources all along the river courses.  For the families the access routes to the interior were also completely transformed.
