Tributaries

The basin of the Mistassini River includes the Samaqua, Ouasemiska and the Framboises rivers as well as ‘lacs des Cygnes’, up to the level of Lake Mistassini and the headwaters of the Mistassini River further north.  To the east of this, the basin of the Mistassibi River is comprised mainly of Lake Foin and the Aux Rats and North East Mistassibi rivers, up to the Onistagan and Manouane lakes.
