Inventions and technology

A panoply of objects, originate from the ingeniousness of the First Nations, were created over the centuries thanks to a process of adaptation of their most fundamental needs.  Certain of these objects are pure invention while others are the result of adaptation of objects for their needs.  Among these objects, the snowshoe, canoe, toboggan and the hunting knife, to name just a few, assume a particular character by their importance in everyday life.
