The practice of nomadism
The climate, geography, flora and fauna, seasonal variations, etc. offer plenty of reasons for the Algonquin Nations to adopt the practice of nomadism. For the Pekuakamiulnuatsh, it was natural and fundamental to organise movements over the territories, in such a way as to find the food that was essential to their survival. Thus everything was organised around their journeying.
Thus nomadism had a very important influence on the habitation, the practice of traditional activities in general; hunting, trapping, fishing, etc.
