Geographic location

The Métabetchouan trading post is located at the outlet of the river of the same name, in direct contact with the Pekuakami.  Even though a town of this name does not exist on Lac-Saint-Jean, the trading post was located close to the river that, today, separates the municipalities of Chambord and Desbiens.
