Hydro-Quebec
With the creation of Hydro-Quebec during the nationalisation of electricity in Quebec, many projects saw the light of day in various regions. For the Pekuakamiulnuatsh, the interest of Hydro-Quebec for the large rivers of our territory was not questionable. Over the years, Hydro-Quebec was interested in various projects particularly one of harnessing the Ashuapmushuan River, and the construction of small dams. However work methods have changed greatly since the start when the Pekuakamiulnuatsh were invited to take part in the development of the large projects.
