Access to the river
Nowadays, the Ashuapmushuan River is accessible at a number of locations at Saint-Félicien. The river is crossed by two (2) important bridges, that at Saint-Félicien (Route 169) and that at Normandin, connecting this municipality with that of La Doré. The river is also accessible through various points of interest such as the camping at Chute à l’Ours (Bear’s Falls) situated at Normandin, the Chute à Michel (Michael’s Falls) situated at St-Félicien, and the Chutes Chaudières situated at the south entrance of the Ashuapmushuan wildlife reserve.
